o Using information about ant biology and behavior to select effective management methods
o Minimizing ant entry into structures with pest-proofing techniques and sanitation measures
o Knowing when and how to use effective educational, physical, mechanical, and reduced-risk chemical methods to manage ants
o Learning how to prepare a site-specific IPM plan for ants
