UP3 Project
The Urban Pesticide Pollution Prevention (UP3) Project's goal is to prevent water pollution from urban pesticide use. The project is funded by a State Water Resources Control Board grant to the San Francisco Estuary Project. The UP3 web site provides resources and information on integrated pest management, pesticides, and water quality, such as municipal program management tools. For more information about the UP3 Project, click here.
Bond Freeze Update May 2009: Thanks to support from several key stakeholders, we have been able to raise enough funds to provide very limited operations, including May and July meetings of the Urban Pesticides Committee, through July 2009.
The UP3 Project activities were suspended by California's bond freeze from December 18, 2008 through May, 2009. The project has restarted to a limited extent. Additional emergency funding is being sought to hold UPC meetings after July 2009. To assist, please contact Athena Honore, UP3 Project Manager, at up3@waterboards.ca.gov.
